Business Mentor Role for THIRTY30 MD /

Here at THIRTY30, we like to think our Managing Director David Jones knows a thing or two about growing a business (after all, we’ve tripled in size in the last year. Not that we like to brag…)!

We’re proud to announce that David has been selected as a mentor for Crate Park, the innovative new business park which uses up-cycled shipping containers to create affordable retail and leisure spaces.

The first Crate Park business centre is due to open in Newcastle in November 2019, and promises to bring together existing businesses and start-ups alike, to create a shopping and leisure space with a wide mixture of well-known and new brands alongside one another.

As part of their support for small businesses, Crate Park’s mentor scheme puts start-ups in touch with seasoned professionals from the world of business, to offer support from their initial conception to full expansion and growth. That’s where David comes in.

“When I heard about Crate Park’s mentor scheme I thought it was a brilliant idea, so I was thrilled when they approached me,” he says. “The first few years are often the hardest when starting a business, so I can’t wait to offer support to fledgling companies.”

“Newcastle has always been a hub for creativity and industry, so it feels like a great place to start!”

The North East’s Crate Park development is estimated to cost £20 million, and create around 800 jobs in the local area.
